Poynton latest - contractors on site!

Well it almost nearly never happened, but it looks like construction
has started on the Poynton bowl! Estimate 8 weeks from now to build it
plus a week or two for the council to sign it off as safe.

Bollington: Design Ideas needed

We have an inital meeting with a designer next week lunchtime - Thursday 5th.... So we need some ideas of what to suggest as a starting point. Do you have any favourite parks? or favourite features you've ridden? if so mail us the images, or details, or use the comments section below.
So far the wish list is good roll in with medium and big jump boxes, perhaps leading in to a tranny to vert for the return. Plus a good miniramp, maybe a small kidney bowl and a street section. But what could make the park are some unique ideas thought up by us local riders, so get you thinking caps on!

Westons gonna get some!

Great news!, MBC has secured a fair bit of funding to improve many of the play facilities in the area. Details are a bit scetchy at the moment, but we understand that a sizeable chunk of money will be available for a BMX facility somewhere on the Weston estate. More details to follow, so watch this space if you want a say in the design..... oh and hats off to MBC, bless 'em.

Bollington Latest

After much debate, a general layout for the developements at Adlington Road has been developed (see pic).  Next step, get it costed and start the fundrasing! Budding designers and riders watch this space for when we get to that stage - maybe the summer? - and be ready to come forward with ideas. Bowl or street, or big BMX jumps, I just cant decide....

Southpark Design!

We finally had confirmation from MBC about the winning tender for Southpark. Below are the pictures of the proposed park, which scored top marks when MSPG members graded it at the recent council meeting.

Tell us what you think! Small changes can still be made, so if you want something specific, get it on the comments section below, or make a note on the wall in Hopp.

Enjoy!
