More info on the Bolly design ...
The breif was for a beginner/ intermediate park to complement the others in the area. This is what was delivered...
The team selected this design for a number of reasons. Firstly the site is tiny being ~20m wide, so not big enough for a street plaza type. Just big enough for a flowy park.
It had to work for bmx as well so there is a spine and a sharp hip and the rock in the center to stall on. The spine and stall rock are features that are unique and designed to complement the other parks. What do you think?

Bolly latest - redesign
The Bolly team was involved in the tender evaluation for Adlington Road last month - and after a really close run - the contract went to Wheelscape. In the end it came down to the quality of the design. Here are some pics. Should be finished by the summer.

Bolly Latest - Cash In, Tenders Out
The lottery changing spaces awards has granted Bolly skatepark the final £40k for the project. So barring any major catastrophies the project will 100% go ahead! Other news is that the tenders for the builders is out and a company should be awarded the contract in the early new year! So build in the first half of 2012. We understand that the project group will have some open meetings with users in the new year. Watch this space for more news.
