There was a great turn out for the first Bollington Skate Park Meeting. Thanks to all for comming! All agreed that the current facilities are too small and dangerous, and all wanted to see something bigger and better. MSPG outlined a plan to move it forward. And all were asked to think of what was needed. So far essentials are a good miniramp, roll in and jump box for BMXers and a nice easy area for beginners. Any ideas send to us or add as a comment below. Anyhow, it should fit nicely with Poynton and Macc. Watch this space....

I would like to see the whole of Adlington Park developed for the use of older kids, who need the space for bike, boards & skates.
The old equipment that is currently there for younger children is tired and not particularly stimulating, and needs to be removed to make space for the development plans.
The focus for younger children should be upon improving the facility at Bollington's other playground opposite the Memorial Gardens.
I'd like to see a good zip wire incorporated into plans at the Rec, as well as a sheltered area & seating fo kids/families that want to sit & watch the
skaters/boarders etc., in action.
This suggestion from Anonymous is the most ridiculous comment I've ever read. The younger childrens amenities at Adlington Road are in constant use - by many, many more parents and residents than the number of older children that use Adlington Road-but your proposal is to take this away???
For younger children, the total amount of public space put aside amounts to 2 small areas - Adlington Road and Opposite the Memorial Gardens. Considering the increasing population of families with young children, the amount of space given to the under 5's should be INCREASED, not DECREASED. While I'm on the subject of Adlington Road, I also have absolutely no idea WHY the skateboard park needs to be moved next to the young childrens play area instead of leaving it next to the arches/Middlewood Way?
