MSPG - Annual General Meeting!

To be held Monday 20th April at 6.30pm at The Hub, 33 Great Kings street, Macclesfield, SK11 6PN.
Basically we need EVERYONE to come! So that we can
1. Show we have a great support, which helps us lobby for more facilities
2. Get ideas from everyone on what to put where and why
3. Share information about up comming trips, training and jams

We will quickly review all the great things that have gone on this year, and then look forward to all the new developments. These include....
Deva Fields Poynton, Southpark Skatepark, West Park, Windmill street, Weston estate...
Plus other things on the horizon like Bollington skatepark, Waterstreet skatepark, and Sutton improvements.

So spread the word! and see you there!

YESSSSSS!!! We've just had news that the two WREN applications for £15K have been succesful!

So West park will get an refurbed ramp that will be twice as wide! some rails and all the tamacing sorting aound the bumps, plus a good deal more area covered with some additional humps and bumps....

.....And Windmill Park will get a brand new purpose built BMX track! So well done to Andrew and the BMXers for sorting Windmill street!

Poynton Latest - new pics

Thanks to Carolyn M of the Deva working group for sending these pics. Looks like its comming along nicely. Ground works are done and the metalwork has been laid. Not too long before they start spraying the concrete. BUT remember the concrete will take a MONTH to cure! so no cheeky rides!

South park - planning approved!

The plans for Southpark skatepark came before the borough planning commitee today and we have just had word that the commitee approved the plans! This follows a couple of weeks of nail biting work by MSPG to support the project to help appease local concerns. Also enormous thanks to Cllr Maurine Radford who spoke in support of the project, and who apparently, in her day, was pretty tidy on rollerskates.
