Bolly Latest - Cash In, Tenders Out

The lottery changing spaces awards has granted Bolly skatepark the final £40k for the project. So barring any major catastrophies the project will 100% go ahead! Other news is that the tenders for the builders is out and a company should be awarded the contract in the early new year! So build in the first half of 2012. We understand that the project group will have some open meetings with users in the new year. Watch this space for more news.

Congleton Road Jumps - RIP

Huge bad news. We're gutted for everyone who put in the time building and tending these jumps. We'll try and find out why and by who this decision was taken and post it up here.

Bollington - Planning application in!

To cut a long story short, the regeneration project for Bollington Skate Park at Adlington Road had a little difficulty at the start of the year, with the council planning department deeming that planning approval for the project would be needed after all. So after some frantic hasseling of some of the design companies, the project team last week submitted the most suitable design for planning approval. The decision should take a couple of months. The pics above are the design that was submitted, inspired by Jago's drainage ditch idea. Its 206m2, basically the same size as the tarmaced area that is there at the moment, its bund by a grass bank all the way round and should be good for 1-2 riders at a time. Perfect!

This event is open to all. The 2 previous design consultation sessions (9th and 15th Feb) have informed the design and this is a chance for residents and agencies to view the plans and ask questions of the architect.
