Why is it yet another CONCRETE installation? Sureley this will be the 3rd now...South Park, Poynton Bowl and no Weston! Why can't you actually build something different like metal frame with a WOOD surface? Why is it always aimed mainly at skaters?...is it because the guys in charge here ARE only skaters? What about BMX and inline? And, why is it always Wheelscape that gets the work?
you should come and share your opinions when there are open meetings held about new installations/projects.
MSPG has no final say in decisions we just offer ideas and advice.
Have you forgot about West park which recieved a makeover extending the 'metal framed' ramp and the track.
The thing is Wood really ain't that good outdoors in Britain, one typical english wet winter and its ruined, concrete is the sensible way to go as it will last decades.
All dates for open meetings about projects new or existing will be shown on the site.
why not build a street park theres not that much for street skaters at the others parks the nearest proper street one is stoke so it would be great if you could try do something like stoke. Include sets hadrails hubbas boxes ledges block sets manny pads and banks. im sure this is what most of macc skaters want
We are a collection of skaters, boarders, BMXers, inliners, MTBers and others who are committed to improving the facilities for all these sports in the Macclesfield area.
We have formed Macclesfield Skate Park Group (MSPG) to put on events, hassle the council and generally raise the profile of the sports in the area.
Have we missed one? then add your own spot to the map!!
Next meeting
We usually meet in The Porters on Mondays around8pm (every 2 or 3 weeks). Its always best to check the website, or call one of the group to see if its on.
NEXT Meeting Now on Tuesday 21st June, 8pm The Porters
